In her elegantly furnished bedroom near Chelsea; Nineteen year old Alice properly sets the final pin in her hair. She thinks back on the previous evening where, at dinner, she told Mamma and Papa that she had joined the Suffragette movement and knows they must still be reeling. She feels strongly about the cause and is proud to be given the charge if distributing their special circulation in Hyde Park. Taking one final glance at her appearance with pride, she fastens the clasp to the dainty necklace which holds the beautiful pendant she received from her parents on the eve of her 16th birthday and out the door she went.
This “ALICE,” is one of the most popular pieces we have. So far, no one named Alice has purchased this monogram from Heraldic Artist, J. Gordan Smith, in his book, Monograms in Three and Four Letters, published in London, England in 1903. This pendant features a 1mm 24k gold orb and green ivy leaves down either side of the detachable pave diamond bail.
