After dipping his pen into the silver inkwell, Monsieur Demengeot puts it back to paper. As he fervently works, the images that have captured his every thought are brought into existence. After several hours, with papers scattered all over the small room, he steps back to see the fruits of his labor. He is never to know that more than a century after these works are published, his designs will inspire an entire world of wizards in the motion picture production of the Harry Potter series.

This pendant features a Medieval style “AR” monogram by the heraldic artist Charles Demengeot in the book, Dictionnaire Chiffre-Monnagramme (1881), published in Paris, France. With chiseled edges and a smooth background, this piece denotes simplicity while calling attention to the details of the monogram and the lion positioned above. The attached bail allows the pendant to be displayed on smaller to mid-sized chains and beaded jewelry.
