The Monogrammed Desk Of Maureen St. Clair
Surveying her new flat, Maureen St. Clair was pleased with her progress. It had been a month since she moved from Lyon, France to London. Her favorite area was the writing desk her parents had given her that had her monogram inlayed in silver on the top. They had told Maureen that any writer worth her salt had to have an amazing desk and an inspiring place to live and create. Since Maureen had always been inspired by Jane Austen, she chose to move to England. Sitting at the desk, she gently stroked the monogrammed inlay. Maureen took out a fresh sheet of paper and started to write her story which she hoped would entertain and inspire a new generation of young women.
